The Event:
From the Old Sacramento Living History Program:
"A delightfully spooky tradition presented by the Old Sacramento Living History Program. The days of gunfights, lovers' quarrels and business deals gone bad left their mark with strange happenings,
creepy stories, and unusual sightings. Watch history come alive on a night-time walk through Old Sacramento as you meet characters that still haunt the
streets and buildings of the historic district. Bring your courage and a little humor to this special tour, available only in October. Tours last approximately
one hour and are not recommended for children under the age of 6."
Tasks:
Help shepherd tour groups to prevent the spooks from getting any straggling tourists as we take an evening walking tour through Old Sacramento's
haunted history. We will be helping in the capactiy of general volunteers available for whatever may er, manifest that night. No dancing is performed for this event.
Costumes:
Present yourself as a Gold Rush era character of any background, spanning roughly the 1840s-1860s time frame with some comfortable period-esque walking shoes
and don't forget a wrap or coat as it can get a bit chilly in the evening at times. You must provide your own costume. If you need help costuming, contact us through
the feedback page.
